What to do
- Today we are going to play a game and make words with all of the letters we know. Watch what I write on the board.
- Write sa on the board. Can anyone read that for me? Good. Now who can think of a letter to add to the end to make a word? Call on a volunteer. Good. We can add t to the end. Write t at the end of sa. What word is that? Excellent. The new word is sat.
- Repeat the procedure substituting different endings after sa (t, d, g, m, p).
- Good. You did a great job making words today. We will play again another day with different words.
- Repeat the procedure on a regular with other word combinations such as:
Ra (g), (m), (h), (g), (t) Le (d), (g), (t) Si (p), (r), (t), (x) Pi (g), (n), (t) Ho (g), (p), (t) Cu (p), (t) Fa (t), (d), (n), (r)
Observe students play the game. For students who struggle, give them help and make a note in an Activity Log.
